Pakawaste manufacture Transfer Station in premier style
| The Arsenal contract has been part of a massive £365million project to relocate an old waste transfer station owned by Islington Borough Council to a new site, releasing the old land for the Premiership Stadium to build their new ground when it leaves Highbury in 2005. Pakawaste alongside construction company Sir Robert McAlpine has played a major part in the project, which has been in progress for more than two years. A six-man team from Preston has recently been based in Islington working on the installation of six transfer station waste compactors at the site. A team in Preston has also been involved in the complete design, engineering and manufacture of the machines, which has all been managed from Pakawaste headquarters in Preston. |  |
