MacMillan Coffee Morning 2016

McMillan_Coffee_morning__2016.jpgOn Friday 30th September 2016, staff at Pakawaste gathered for a cake and coffee morning to raise money for MacMillan Cancer Support. Pakawaste got in to the spirit of the nationwide coffee morning and raised a fantastic £210.76 for the cause, selling snacks and homemade baked cakes for staff. Not only did we get to enjoy a wide selection of delicious cakes, but we were able to contribute to this fantastic charity which carries out excellent services across the U.K. for people suffering with cancer.

The coffee morning first began in 1990 as a relatively small affair where guests would simply donate money for their next cup of tea or coffee to MacMillan. Since then, their annual coffee morning has raised over £138 million for MacMillan Cancer Support and the coffee morning keeps growing stronger and stronger with each year. This year’s coffee morning has raised over £8.5 million so far. If you would like to read more or donate to the cause, please click the link here.
