We at Pakawaste are proud to announce that Pakawaste Ltd and Pakawaste Engineering Services Ltd have been shortlisted for three awards in the BIBAs (Be Inspired Business Awards). Pakawaste Ltd has been shortlisted in the “Manufacturer of the Year” and “Exporter of the Year” award categories and Pakawaste Engineering Services Ltd has been listed for the “Service Business of the Year” category.

The BIBA ceremony is held annually at Blackpool Tower in September, giving out awards for 17 categories covering all types and sizes of business across Lancashire. This year has seen the largest number of applications yet, with 196 applications from 119 businesses and Pakawaste are proud to be included in the nominated categories. The full shortlist can be seen on the BIBAs website.

The 17 judging panels will meet on Monday, May the 19th at Blackpool’s North and Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce to meet the shortlisted applicants. The actual judging will start later on, with the E-Business of the year category through to the selection of the Business of the Year winner on Friday, May 30th.

Babs Murphy, chief executive of awards organisers said “We know the record number of entries we received for this year’s BIBAs have put everything into making their applications the best they can be.

“We know that our judges cannot afford to be anything other than completely prepared for what our applicants will throw at them, which is why we have left nothing to chance.

“I think our judges went into the training sessions realising the BIBAs are Lancashire’s leading business awards and came out realising exactly why they’re ‘the one they all want to win.’”

At Pakawaste we couldn’t agree more, with these prestigious awards being a high priority for us. The recognition helps us solidify our brands and ensure that all of our customers know they are in good hands.

We are very much looking forward to hearing the results across all of the categories and wish the other nominees the best of luck with the awards!
